This book is a must-read for anyone marketing on social media. It perfectly explains HOW to talk to your crowd on social media, how to engage with them, and what kind of things you should be posting. My favorite is that he has screenshots of social media posts included and breaks down the good and the bad with each.
8. Present Over Perfect, by Shauna Niequist
This book was a gem of a find for me this year! It just perfectly spoke to me about clearing out the chaos, and being present in my own life.
And then, of course we all have to read just for fun too! I haven’t gotten into the habit of reading a good fiction book in bed before falling asleep. And it has not only allowed me to unplug and wind down, but I have also found that I sleep SO much better when I read first.
So here are some just-for-fun favorites:
1. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, by Gail Honeyman
2. Waves of Mercy by Lynn Austin
3. The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah
4. At Home in the World, by Tsh Oxenreider
If you’ve click on any of the above links, you likely noticed that they all take you to Bookshop.org. Have you heard of this site before?
I recently was listening to a podcast where they explained this site, and I was smitten. It’s a way to order just about any book you can think of, and have it come from a local bookstore.
It’s become increasingly important to me to give my money to small businesses and people, rather than big chains. As much as possible anyway.
So, if that’s important to you too… books are a fun way to do that!
